A Brief History Of Our Company
 
In February of
1978, Alex Mardirossian, a Hyster-trained forklift technician, realized his
dream of starting a forklift truck service company. Acquiring a brand new 1977
Chevy van with a $5000 bank loan, he started a mobile repair service under the
name of Alex’s Lift Truck Service. In January of 1979, City Lift Truck opened
its doors for the first time at a modest facility at 62 Colleville Road in
Toronto’s west-end. In August of the same year, the company was incorporated
under the name of City Lift Truck Services.
Year after year,
the list of satisfied customers grew as City Lift Truck began to prove itself as
a reliable and cost-effective provider of quality service in the material
handling industry. After a decade of operation, the company had started to
outgrow its home, and the need arose to move to a larger and more suitable
facility. Finally, in April 1989, City Lift Truck moved to nearby Bridgeland
Avenue, where it continues to operate today.
To date, the
company has remained a relatively small, family operation. It has established
itself with an impressive roster of companies, small and large, from all walks
